Online therapy questions

Does insurance cover online therapy?

Yes. New York State requires insurers to cover telehealth visits the same way they cover in-person care, and every plan we are in-network with — Aetna, Cigna, Empire BCBS, Healthfirst, Oxford, MetroPlus, Fidelis, Medicaid, Medicare, Northwell Health and more — covers our video sessions. Your copay is typically the same as an office visit.

Is online therapy as effective as in person?

For most concerns, research consistently finds teletherapy comparable to in-person care. It also tends to be the easiest to schedule — our telehealth openings are the most flexible we have.

What do I need for a session?

A private space, a phone or computer with a camera, and a New York State location at the time of your session. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform — no special software to buy.

How do I find out my exact copay?

Start your intake or call (718) 208-4780 — on many networks we can confirm eligibility live on the phone. Medicaid patients are covered 100% with a $0 deductible.
