Chaya mermerstein, LCSW, is a clinical social worker and family therapist who is a graduate of Hunter School of Social Work and their post graduate program of family therapy. She worked as a clinician and supervisor in the Mount Sinai Beth Israel outpatient departments of Psychiatry and psychology, supervising social work and psychology interns and psychiatric residents in the child and adult clinic.
She is trained in hypnotherapy, EMDR and somatic interventions.
She co-leads the SOVRI Helpline, an anonymous , confidential helpline focused on support, referrals and psycho education for survivors of sexual abuse.
