Whether you're navigating a single rough patch, recovering from infidelity, or trying to decide if the relationship has a future, couples therapy gives you a structured, neutral space to do the work. Our couples clinicians are trained in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and discernment counseling, and they don't take sides.
This may be a good fit if…
- ✓Communication breakdowns and recurring arguments
- ✓Rebuilding trust after an affair or betrayal
- ✓Pre-marital and pre-cohabitation counseling
- ✓LGBTQ+ couples, polyamorous relationships, intercultural partnerships
- ✓Discernment counseling — deciding whether to stay or separate
Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Based on 40+ years of research with over 3,000 couples. We use the Sound Relationship House framework to assess your relationship, target the specific pillars that need work, and teach the communication skills the research shows actually predict long-term satisfaction.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT, developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, treats relationship distress as an attachment problem. We help you identify the negative cycle you're stuck in, reach the softer emotions underneath the surface conflicts, and create a new bond grounded in secure attachment.
Affair Recovery & Trust Repair
Infidelity recovery is a structured 3-phase process: atonement, attunement, and attachment. We help the partner who broke trust make full repair, the hurt partner process the wound, and both of you decide what kind of relationship to rebuild — without retraumatization.
Discernment Counseling
For couples where one partner is leaning out, discernment counseling is a short-term (1–5 sessions) decision-making process. The goal isn't to save the marriage — it's to help you both walk away with clarity about whether to stay, separate, or pursue a structured ‘all-in’ trial.
